|JULIA FENTON – Head Designer & owner of Classically Costumed.|
Long involved in the ballet world, designer Julia has over 21yrs experience which has seen her costumes and artwork distributed around the globe. Julia’s talents encompass a broad range of arts and crafts. She has over 7 years’ experience working on large stage performances as a Costume and Scenery designer with premier dance companies, such as Ballet Theatre of Qld , La Danza Contemporary Company and Brisbane City Youth Ballet. During this time she designed and created many beautiful costumes and sets that are still seen on the stage today. In the last few years of her contract work Julia started to create exclusive costumes for soloists and dance schools, it wasn’t long before her talent and costumes were in high demand and her clientele grew to large proportions. It was during this time Julia decided to start Classically Costumed and to focus on growing the business. Julia enjoys sharing her knowledge with her two daughters Louisa & Kate who have joined her in this exciting career path.

LOUISA FENTON – Design & Seamstress
Louisa started working alongside Julia in 2009 after working for some years in childcare and also in fashion retail. It wasn’t until she joined the family business that she found satisfaction in her career path. She very much enjoys creating new things and learning and perfecting skills.
Louisa moved to Cairns for a couple of years where she ran her own branch of Classically Costumed where she designed and created for North Queensland before returning back to Brisbane.
Louisa loves to create Jazz and tap costumes and is always looking for new creative inspirations to bring to Classically Costumed.

KATE FENTON – Design & Seamstress
Kate joined the family business in 2011, after she contracted chronic fatigue whilst studying at university in a professional Dance performance degree. Kate has a wide knowledge of everything dance having studied many different genres from the age of 8. Kate danced in prestigious youth ballet companies for several years, she has danced overseas and been awarded multiple placings on the Opera House stage.
Kate also owns and runs her own dance school so understands the importance of quality and correct costuming for choreography’s as well as a proper fit for dance movement.
Kate enjoys researching and staying on the forefront of what’s happening on the world stage and keeping up with trends and fashions.
She enjoys designing and create garments for our designer wardrobe, as she loves the freedom to just immerse herself in a wonderland of fabrics, laces, feathers, crystals and delivering a new and exciting costume.
